Barney was a HUGE part of my high school fun and shenanigans. We were in all the arts events together, and he led us through our high school's concourse (main hallway) doing Monty Python silly walks. I lost track of him after graduation, but would see photos when he visited our friends living in Sweden and China. I was not at all surprised to learn of his career path and successes. He was one of a kind -- brilliant, hilarious, and above all, kind. I'm so sad we don't have more years to benefit from his intellect and humor. I will continue to think of him every time I drive by his parents' house, or see a Monty Python movie or television rerun (and I still have a penguin on my telly!).
