I was really shocked and saddened to hear of Steve’s passing. Steve was a good man, with a talent for seeing the bigger picture and for bringing people together. We spent a lot of time together over the years, working on building up food security research and particularly through N8 agri-food. Being in a meeting with Steve was always fun and the last time I saw him was late 2023 for a surreptitious pint an catch up with colleagues, characteristically jolly with plenty of amusing anecdotes and warmth, I still am in shock that will be the last time. Really gonna miss you buddy x
